After cancellation of the event in 2021 due to Covid, this year’s Medallion was hosted by Bramall Park Golf Club. Dr. MacKenzie was responsible for major modifications to six holes in 1921.
This 6184 yard par 70 Slope 136 parkland course with tree lined fairways was in excellent condition with some very tight pin positions on firm and fast running greens. Teams from 16 Society clubs enjoyed the challenge at hand on a fine and windless summer day.
The winners of the massive bronze trophy and individual silver medals were the team from Hadley Wood, with runners up Horsforth and Headingley in third place. The best individual score of 37 points was shot by Keith Jewell (Handicap Index 3)
The trophy will now be on display at Hadley Wood, who have already agreed to host the 2022 competition – as part of the Club’s Centenary Programme.
