The Annual MacKenzie Medallion was played on Sunday 8 September, 2024 at Bolton Old Links as part of the Club’s Centenary celebrations. Fairly inclement conditions were experienced but the course was in excellent condition and, despite all competitors being experienced in the subtle, and not so subtle, greens associated with the architect rather more putts than usual were registered by the majority of the visitors. The post event dinner was excellent and the prevailing ambience of the clubhouse made it a very happy occasion indeed. Thanks go to all who contributed to the day both on and off the course.
Winners were Bury Golf Club; Second were Hadley Wood Golf Club who maintained their excellent form in the event over the last few years. The Captain of Bolton Old Links, Ashley Miller, recorded the best Stableford score of the meeting with 38 points.
